IMANI is a movement that wants to bring together volunteers, women from all over the world, of all ages, origins, races, religions, professions, to help, inspire and support those in need, victims of all kinds of abuse, to aspire and build a better future.
IMANI aims to defend the rights of women and children, and to promote diversity based on respect, dignity and integrity for everyone. The organisation aims to be a platform for raising awareness, sharing experiences, supporting and upholding women’s rights because this fight concerns us all.
IMANI is a project involving all sort of aides (public authorities, private sector, charities, etc.) and has for priority the empowerment and the education of all women and girls, by enticing them to get involved in a coordinated and organised manner in this movement where their leadership is paramount. IMANI will also work with existing structures engaged in supporting vulnerable women in order to make a strong and lasting impact, and aims at producing positive and tangible social and economic gains for women around the world.
OUR GOALS
To improve the rights of women
by encouraging them to seek a better status in society and to share their experiences, to challenge laws, to brainstorm ideas, to support and to be engaged
To encourage the empowerment of women
by nurturing a culture of mentoring, by building a solid women’s network which helps to broaden their perspective and by encouraging local initiatives and apprentiship.
To promote the recognition of known and unknown role models locally
so that young girls can identify themselves with influencial or inspiring women in their vicinities, with directly accessible role models.
To increase awareness
at all levels in all continents to make sure that no one remains silent in the face of violence.

OUR MISSIONS
To increase the visibility of women
by multiplying the number of strong women on the ground and at all levels of society, to contribute to the development of inspiring individuals locally who will bring changes to restore a more social justice and human.
To contribute to the recovery of victims
by promoting success stories from voluntary testimonies of role models and of those who have overcome similar adversities.
To update the laws
so that the countries concerned share common values recognised by the international community and can have the same political will to make the fight against violence towards women a national priority, with key objectives within a specific timeframe and an obligation for reliable and independent results that are verified and certified yearly.

OUR PROJECT
A multifunctional platform for women, easily accessible even in the remotest parts of the world, which will initially serve as a mentoring, exchange, identification, inspiration and empowerment platform. In a second phase, it will be used to register cases of violence against women, to monitor the progress of actions carried out in different cases, and to evaluate and quantify their impact on the ground in an instantaneous manner.
A platform dedicated
to Prevention, Information and Awareness which :
- Raises awareness of the network of associations, professionals and partners specialising in the care of women victims by putting online an interactive international map of existing measures to combat violence against women.
- Presents the various prevention and awareness-raising projects with a focus on each country to enable the sharing of good practices.

A platform dedicated
TO COMMITMENT
To get together, to make oneself known, to evaluate each other and to be connected within a network so as to advance the cause through encouraging :
- The testimonies of victims, activists, defenders and role models from communities where violence is frequent, increasing membership through a ripple effect and exemplarity. We will do this by inviting them and building trust, enticing communities to reflect on their views, values and practices, and as the struggle progresses, setting up structures to support them individually and in their work.
- The participation of young girls, especially those from affected communities, to understand the root cause, change discourse and give momentum to the movement.
A platform dedicated
to Inspiration
It will present portraits of women who are well established in their respective fields, whose stories can be lessons for all, the stories of those women victims of violence who have managed to escape despite all obstacles, as well as all those who have had an impact in defending women’s rights through an idea, a new concept, a significant action or a bold step forward.
A platform dedicated to the Analysis and Interpretation of data :
Local initiatives around the world will be made live, readily available, the originator will be able to update their actions through tweets or posts, and others will authenticate these actions on the ground. Thus, we will measure the real impact because the live coverage is tangible. The results will be positive thanks to the action of governments, charitable organisations, and in particular, celebrities who have given their support.
Everyone will be able to see the scope of their actions and the public authorities will have no alternatives but to follow through because their effectiveness or inefficiency will be visible to all. The more people we have on this social network, the greater the impact will be.
Each country will be able to conduct its fight against the violence towards women according to its needs, while offering meetings and / or get together between inspiring and inspired, psychologists and philosophers, according to its interests : sport, culture, leisure, etc.

We will create an event that will bring together the potential female leaders of tomorrow, inspire them, motivate them , provide them with the tools to increase their influence and strengthen their position in the world. It will be an opportunity to reward those who have distinguished themselves by their actions during the year, regardless of their origins and job description
- We will promote all organisations that on the ground deal with helping women.
- We will reveal the names of the companies, partners and all employees who participate in the various actions through corporate sponsorship for example.

OUR ACTIONS
Education
The Imani association places education at the heart of its priorities by organising school-based interventions with middle and high school students. We want to give hope to the youths, so that every one of them knows that he/she is in control of his/her destiny and that he/she can succeed in spite of the obstacles he/she encounters.
We also set up discussion groups, meetings and self-help workshops for women and families because it is important to interact with people who had more or less the same experiences.
Prevention & Awareness
We are creating awareness campaigns to defend the rights of women and children and are working on proposed laws to change legislation.
